Digital trolley

Digital trolley and digital suitcase are mobile, digital presentation equipments, which are to be spread in all secondary schools. Digital suitcase is a small package of a laptop and projector. Digital trolley is a more severe package that consists of 1 laptop, 1 projector, amplifier, speaker, microphone, VHS, DVD, and keeping box.

More than 1100 schools received digital trolleys and suitcases equipped with multimedia devices in the last academic year, which can make the education of traditional subjects more colorful. 1117 secondary school took part in the competition held by the Ministry of Informatics and Communications and the Ministry of Education and 1110 of them turned out to be successful. Digital trolleys and suitcases should be used within at least 50 lessons in a month. Since the digital trolley is equipped with projector, laptop and scoring, by the application teachers do not have to bother about the installation of instruments. Multimedia educational aids are also equipped with wireless Internet-connections in 300 schools, so that digital knowledge bases can also be accessed during the lessons. The digital learning materials for classes 7–12 should be completed until September, and contents like economic knowledge, history of religion and culture, European Union and digital culture will be also added to it.

The Ministry of Informatics and Communications is responsible for this project. Several companies assemble digital trolleys and suitcases, the whole expenditure of the program is settled by the Ministry of Informatics and Communications. The budget includes 3,4 billion Forints. With the help of the digital trolley program digital culture can really spread in the schools and learning supported by information devices can appear outside the computer classrooms.
